Global Care Albania (GCA)
GCA is a non-profit organization founded in 1999, headquartered in Tirana. Poverty, social and economic problems were so severe that it prompted GCA to start working with children’s programs including elements from their daily life, such as school, family, society. The organization operates in the community of Bathore, one of the peripheral areas of Tirana.
– Our mission is to achieve sustainable changes in the lives of children, youth and families by providing quality care, through education and by empowering families and the community.
-Activities are developed for vulnerable children and families, children with special needs, young people, women, the community: developmental therapy, physiotherapy, counseling, after-school study, kindergarten, training for young people, training and information with women, training and workshops with teachers and other actors in the community, advocacy, mediation.
-GCA is working to establish a structure for prevention, as it strongly believes that prevention is better than treatment
